ReMedPar, a leading third-party medical parts provider for imaging and biomedical equipment was recently awarded ISO 9001:2008 certification. The company joins an elite few in the medical parts industry that have attained this achievement.
ReMedPar, based in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, completed ISO requirements with Lloyd's Register of Quality Assurance (LRQA) in less than one year, passing certification procedures without any delays, a point of pride in what is a meticulous and thorough process of demonstrating quality.
As more health care facilities and companies turn to third parties for cost savings, demonstrations of quality like the ISO certification can set a company apart and endorse their reputation.
While the majority of ReMedPar's sales are domestic, sales abroad are increasing as medical facilities across the globe are seeking quality aftermarket parts to extend the life of their existing imaging equipment and lower service costs. With the growth of international business, ReMedPar assigned staff and resources to oversee steps to comply with ISO guidelines.
"Whether customers are around the corner or across continents, our most important measure of quality is their complete satisfaction. Accomplishing ISO certification in nine months reinforces that ReMedPar's policies and procedures indeed set us apart from typical parts providers," said Ben Hansen, President of ReMedPar.
Quality management is a process that must be implemented company-wide and ReMedPar's Quality Policy is posted throughout their 110,000-square-foot facility. It reads, "Exceed customer expectations by being proactive in providing quality solutions."
"It is this customer-driven policy that provides the incentive for continuous quality improvement of our products and services," said Wayne Foster, Quality Assurance and ISO Manager.
