On 13th May 2015, LRQA attended the Chartered Institution for Water & Environmental Management (CIWEM) annual dinner. Held in London’s Drapers’ Hall, the event attracted approximately 250 guests from all areas of the environment sector, from both the UK and overseas.
Representation from LRQA included John Rowley, LRQA Managing Director and a member of the CIWEM Board of Trustees, along with Allan Tormanen, LRQA Area Sales Manager and Ged Farmer LRQA Sustainability Technical Manager - both of whom serve the LRQA Northern Europe area. James Sutcliffe, LR’s Group Environmental Development Manager, also attended with the LRQA team.
“The dinner this year was an historic one as we are also celebrating the 120th Anniversary of CIWEM’s foundation in 1895,” said John Rowley. “LRQA delivers a wide range of services spanning the environmental and sustainability arenas. It was good that we were able to meet first hand with many of our existing as well as potential clients, and it was also heartening to see the positive brand recognition as a result of our event sponsorship.”
Guests included Members of Parliament and Government officials, the chief executives and directors of the water utility and other key companies, government departments, professional and member services organisations, environmental consultants, contractors, the media and a number of other organisations with which the Institution maintains close links.
